A serene seaside residence in Pacific Palisades was reimagined with a restrained, coastal-modern palette that honours the home’s light-filled volumes and ocean vistas; warm white walls and soft oak floors unify living spaces while custom millwork in pale walnut provides intimate storage and sculptural interest, and large sliding glass doors were retained and reframed to maximise sightlines, inviting natural breezes and sunlight to animate layered linens, muted blue-green upholstery and handwoven rugs that reference the Pacific. Strategic lighting — concealed cove fixtures, adjustable pendants and brass reading sconces — creates nuanced evening atmospheres, while curated art and ceramics by West Coast makers introduce texture and narrative without overpowering the calm. The result is an elegant, quietly luxurious retreat that balances effortless indoor–outdoor living with refined materiality and thoughtful comfort.
